The District Court said it will deliver a verdict on the Ken Tsang assault case on February 14.

Seven police officers accused of causing grievous bodily harm to the former Civic Party member Tsang on October 15, 2014 during the pro-democracy protests. Footage of the assault at Tamar Park was aired by the local television channels.

Wrapping up their case on Wednesday, defence lawyers painted Tsang as an unreliable witness.

One lawyer said the former Civic Party member wasn't honest and suggested that Tsang didn't immediately file any complaint about the alleged assault because he couldn't remember any details.

The lawyer also said Tsang couldn't recall who his alleged attackers were, nor was he able to describe their physical features.

On Tuesday, the lawyers also cast doubt on the victim's identity, asking if it was Tsang at all.
