Observation Wheel to restart operation with cheaper ticket price  Listenfacebook
The Observation Wheel at the Central harbour front will reopen and the ticket price will cost just HK$20 - 80 percent cheaper than previously. Its new operator says a reopening date will be announced later. The Ferris wheel was facing demolition in September because of a dispute between the old and new operators. The man who helped mediate the dispute – Allan Zeman from the Lan Kwai Fong Group – told Annemarie Evans that the incident has been an embarrassment for Hong Kong.

US President Donald Trump says he's ordered border officials to step up the vetting of foreigners travelling to the country after a terror attack in New York killed at least eight people. The suspect, who's accused of mowing down cyclists and pedestrians in a pick-up truck, has been named by police sources as Sayfullo Saipov, an immigrant from Uzbekistan. Annemarie Evans asked Paul Rogers, Professor of Peace Studies at Bradford University in the UK, what he made of the attack.

The Philippine post office has issued a set of stamps to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of late dictator Ferdinand Marcos. It's a controversial decision as his rule marked one of the darkest periods in the country's history. RTHK’s Manila correspondent, Alan Robles, told Annemarie Evans the move has outraged people and families who were victimised during Marcos’s rule.
