Lawmaker calls for reimbursement system for NGOs Listen
Labour Party legislator Fernando Cheung says the government should consider introducing a reimbursement system for NGOs to pay them for the services they provide, rather than giving lump sums as is presently the case. He says the current system doesn’t provide for monitoring and transparency to ensure that resources are properly allocated to those in need. Cheung spoke to Annemarie Evans.
Zimbabweans have high expectations from Emmerson Mnangagwa Listen
State media in Zimbabwe say the former vice president Emmerson Mnangagwa will be sworn in as the country's new head of state on Friday. Mnangagwa was dismissed by former president Robert Mugabe over two weeks ago. His sacking triggered the momentous events in Zimbabwe, culminating in Mugabe's resignation on Tuesday. The managing editor of Harare News Harry Davies told Annemarie Evans what is being expected from Mnangagwa.
