Hurricane Irma lashes Florida Listen
A weakened Hurricane Irma swept up the Florida coast on Monday, toppling cranes, swallowing streets and leaving millions without power. While southwest Florida bore the brunt of Irma, the eastern coastlines of Miami and the barrier island of Miami Beach were heavily inundated by storm surges. The executive director at the Hong Kong-America Center, Glenn Shive, told RTHK's Jim Gould there was also a lot of concern about the possible impact of the storm on the Tampa area – which hasn't been hit by a major hurricane in a century:
