Revelations have raised doubts about air traffic control system: lawmaker  Listenfacebook
Civic Party lawmaker and pilot Jeremy Tam says the latest revelations made by local news agency FactWire about the air traffic control system at the airport raises doubts about its reliability. He says there could be incidents that don’t get recorded and because of this, investigations would not be possible to ensure they don’t happen again. Tam spoke to Annemarie Evans.
More alternatives needed for use of gases from landfills: green group  Listenfacebook
The Chief Executive Officer of the World Green Organisation William Yu says more alternatives should be put in place for the use of gases coming off landfills. He says the opening of a plant at the landfill in Tseung Kwan O to harness and treat gases coming off the rubbish dumped there is a move in the right direction. But Yu tells Jim Gould that the implementation of such projects should be speeded up to protect the environment.
Mastermind of 2008 Mumbai attacks released  Listenfacebook
Pakistani cleric Hafiz Saeed, who is accused by the US and India of masterminding the 2008 Mumbai attacks, has been released. Saeed, who carries a US$10 million bounty, had been under house arrest in the city of Lahore since January. A court this week ordered his release, rejecting the government's arguments that he was a threat to public safety. RTHK’s South Asia correspondent Murali Krishnan spoke to Annemarie Evans about Saeed’s release.
