RTHK TV rapped over low ratings Listen
The director of audit has criticised government broadcaster RTHK for the low ratings of its TV channels, along with their reliance on re-runs and mundane content. A new report by the auditor also says RTHK's procurement procedures are at odds with government norms and open the door to possible collusion; and the station employs too many contract staff. Grace Leung, a journalism lecturer at the Chinese University told Jim Gould that technical limitations have helped to depress ratings for the broadcaster:
