Hong Kong stocks sank more than one percent at the start of business on Tuesday after Moody's cut the SAR's credit rating, blaming the government's response to months of sometimes violent protests.

The Hang Seng Index fell 1.2 percent, or 346 points, to 28,449.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.3 percent, or 10 points, to 3,085 and the Shenzhen Composite Index dropped 0.3 percent, or 4 points, to 1,825. (AFP)
