Police arrest 60 after Tseung Kwan O disturbances

Police have arrested 60 people following disturbances at Sheung Tak Estate in Tseung Kwan O last night.

In a Facebook post, the force said officers had bricks thrown at them and a police vehicle had been damaged.

Officers fired tear gas and rubber baton rounds to disperse the crowd. Pepper spray was also used on some people who attempted to block roads.

University student Alex Chow died on November 8, after falling from a car park in Tseung Kwan O during a police operation to clear the area.

Police made the arrests for unlawful assembly and disorderly conduct in a public place.
