Hong Kong will be represented at the fencing competitions in Tokyo Olympics by a record high eight athletes.

There’s a blend of youth and experience, and in former world number one Vivian Kong a genuine medal contender.

The 27-year-old epee fencer lost in the last 16 five years ago in Rio, but since then she won the 2018 individual Asian champion and claimed a World Cup title in Cuba the following year.

RTHK’s Wong Yin-ting spoke to Kong, fellow second-time Olympian Cheung Ka-long and newcomers Lawrence Ng and Moonie Chu, about how they’re hoping to perform on the world’s biggest stage.
