Hong Kong stocks opened with more losses on Monday morning after data showed Chinese manufacturing activity saw a surprise contraction in July.

The Hang Seng Index fell 0.64 percent to 20,026.

The Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.20 percent to 3,246, while the Shenzhen Composite Index eased 0.14 percent to 2,178. (AFP)
