Hong Kong stocks surged on Tuesday.

The Hang Seng Index jumped 5.2 percent, or 906 points, to 18,204. The Shanghai Composite Index rose 2.3 percent, or 71 points, to 3,149, while the Shenzhen Composite Index gained 2.1 percent, or 42 points, to 2,016. (Additional reporting by AFP)
