China's Xie Yu on Sunday won the country's second gold medal in shooting at the Paris Olympics, and the third overall, after claiming victory in the men's 10-metre air pistol event.
Xie, who placed sixth in the qualification round, gave a strong performance and topped the scoreboard in the final with a total of 240.9 points.
The 24-year-old narrowly finished ahead of Italian rival Federico Nilo Maldini, who racked up 240 points to claim silver.
Another Italian, Paolo Monna, took bronze.
China won two gold medals at the Games on Saturday, in the 10-metre air rifle mixed team and the women's synchronised 3-metre springboard diving.
