The government says it will no longer recognise vaccine exemption certificates issued by seven private doctors. The seven are accused of issuing the documents without holding medical consultations with the patients. One doctor was arrested on Tuesday, as Natale Ching reports:

The president-elect of the Hong Kong College of Cardiology has expressed concern that heart patients have scaled back on exercise during the pandemic. Godwin Leung was commenting on a survey by the college of 266 patients between July and August, which showed around a third cut back on exercise after Covid hit Hong Kong. Leung said some expressed concern about having to exercise while wearing a mask, while others complained of not being able to access gyms. He told Samantha Butler that patients should be encouraged to exercise at home:

The Environmental Protection Department says it has contacted both the science park and Hong Kong's sole recycler of beverage cartons to see how it can help resolve their dispute over tenancy. It issued the statement on Tuesday night after Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks said it had done its best to help the firm, Mil Mill - which is set to lose its base at a Yuen Long industrial estate that is being developed into a high-tech park. A happiness index for schoolchildren has fallen slightly from last year. Lingnan University polled around 3,500 primary and secondary students, and 150 teachers starting in March, and found their overall happiness dropped by just under 0.1 points from 2021 to 6.77 out of 10. About a third complained about pressure over their studies, while just over 10 percent of students claimed to feel their lives were not valuable, which was up one percent on last year's survey. The researchers also found school bullying happened most among junior students, contributing to decreased happiness. Professor Ho Lok-sang, who designed the survey, told Ben Tse that this year’s results was far from being the worst decline reported in 2015 and 2016:

A man who pulled out of a suicide pact with his parents has been jailed for five and a half years after pleading guilty to helping the pair kill themselves. The 43-year-old man said the pact was his mother's idea but that his father urged him not to go through with it, as Maggie Ho reports:

A pedestrian has died and five other people have been injured after a truck hit a number of vehicles before running onto a pavement in Kwun Tong on Tuesday night. The truck rammed into the front of a Bank of China branch before coming to a halt. Todd Harding reports:
