The Court of Final Appeal has ruled that the government cannot deny spousal benefits to the partners of gay civil servants, in a landmark victory for the city’s LGBT community. An associate professor from the University of Hong Kong’s faculty of law, Puja Kapai, told Annemarie Evans that this ruling opens the door for more legal challenges concerning LGBT rights.
