Wuhan illness a 'new type of coronavirus' Listen
State media on the mainland are reporting that an outbreak of a mystery viral pneumonia in Wuhan is now believed to be down to a new type of coronavirus that has emerged. Dr Leung Chi-chiu, a respiratory medicine and public health expert from the Hong Kong Medical Association, told Jim Gould that the next step would be to devise a rapid test.
Researchers link farm dust to asthma prevention Listen
Researchers at the Chinese University have found that exposing children to farm dust could prevent them from having asthma. A study they carried out showed the percentage of children suffering from asthma in Hong Kong more than doubled than that in Chonghua, a rural area on the mainland. Additional research done in collaboration with European scientists showed exposing children to farm dust would have anti-inflammatory effects. One of the researchers, Professor Gary Wong, told Ben Tse how exposure to this dust benefits children:
Britain’s royal family ‘hurt’ by Prince Harry, Meghan decision Listen
Britain's Prince Harry and his wife Meghan have announced they're taking a step back from their royal duties -- a decision that is understood to have disappointed and hurt other members of the royal family, who supposedly had no idea it was coming. The couple said they plan to become financially independent, and divide their time between Britain and North America. RTHK's UK correspondent Gavin Grey told Jim Gould that the couple have been unhappy with the public attention for quite some time.
