One person was found dead on Monday after a fire broke out on a cargo ship in waters off Lamma.

Twelve others were safe on board the vessel.

Firefighters put out the blaze at around 10am, two hours after receiving a report that the ship had caught fire.

Two fire boats and a helicopter were deployed in the operation.
