Manpower shortage in medical sector serious: lawmaker Listen
Civic Party lawmaker, Dr Kwok Ka-ki, who is also a medical practitioner, says the manpower shortage in the medical sector is serious. He says the government should provide more resources to train more medical staff, and attempts should be made to encourage doctors who have gone to work overseas to return and work in Hong Kong. Kwok tells Annemarie Evans that doctors in public hospitals should also be paid more in order to retain them.
Head of Anbang insurance reportedly detained Listen
The head of Chinese insurance giant, Anbang, is reported to have been detained by anti-corruption investigators on the mainland. Earlier reports said Wu Xiaohui had been prevented from leaving China. The group had previously sought a business deal with the family of US President Donald Trump's son-in-law. China analyst, Mark O'Neill, spoke to Annemarie Evans about the case.
