Police on Saturday issued more than 120 penalty tickets to customers of bars and a night club in Tsim Sha Tsui and Jordan, as part of a two-day enforcement operation.

Eight operators of the premises were arrested for allegedly illegally operating upstairs bars or night clubs, failing to ensure that customers use the LeaveHomeSafe app, and comply with the vaccine pass scheme.

Bars and night clubs remain closed in Hong Kong at the moment as part of anti-Covid restrictions.

During the operation, police also took away a 19-year-old female customer who didn't have an ID card with her, while arresting a 39-year-old man who was on the wanted list for allegedly failing to pay an undisclosed fine.
