Police said on Saturday that they have arrested three people on suspicion of drug trafficking, after seizing around HK$12 million worth of narcotics.
Among the haul were 22 kilogrammes of methamphetamine and cannabis buds.
Officers said they believe the two men and one woman – aged between 42 and 61 – knew each other, adding that they are investigating whether there's any criminal syndicate involved.
Senior inspector Chan Chi-wa of the narcotics bureau accused the trio of using potent spices to mask the smell of the drugs, that had been stored separately in a number of residential units and a warehouse in the New Territories.
Two of the suspects have since been charged with trafficking dangerous drugs.
They will appear at the Kwun Tong Magistrates' Courts on Monday.
