Hong Kong equities closed lower on Tuesday, though an opening plunge eased as dip buyers sent markets rallying after the wreckage from Wall Street's rout the day before.
The Hang Seng Index dropped 1.8 percent, or 368 points, to 19,633.
The Shanghai Composite Index rose 1.1 percent, or 31 points, to 3,035, while the Shenzhen Composite Index saw a 1.5 percent bump, or 28 points, to 1,894. (AFP)
