Hong Kong health officials reported 190 new Covid cases on Monday, including 28 that were imported.
Chuang Shuk-kwan from the Centre for Health Protection said although the daily caseload has fallen below the 200 mark, she expects numbers will continue to fluctuate.
"I think the epidemic is stable for the time being, and hopefully it will keep going down," she told a daily press conference.
Chuang also said two more people have tested positive after visiting McDonald's at Cityplaza in Taikoo Shing on the same day as a woman found to have been infected with a new subvariant of Omicron.
On Sunday, authorities said a family of three who went to the restaurant around the same time as the woman were also infected.
The latest patients are a woman, 76, who lives in Kwun Tong and a man, 67, who lives in Taikoo Shing. A number of places the woman visited will be served with compulsory testing notices.
