Heavy downpours on Wednesday triggered a landslide in the popular hiking spot of Pak Tam Au in Sai Kung.
The Fire Services Department said the landslide took place at around noon when the Red Rainstorm Warning Signal was in force.
The incident covered an area of about 800 square metres.
Authorities said rescuers have confirmed that no one was trapped by the landslide.
Meanwhile, rescuers were also out in force in Tai Po looking for a woman who was reported missing during a hike in Bride's Pool.
Police said they received a report from a man that his hiking partner was nowhere to be found after she slipped and fell into a stream near Dragon Ball Waterfall at around noon.
