A former TVB employee was on Thursday meted a one-year jail sentence for calling on protesters to damage the broadcaster's signal transmission station during the 2019 protests.

Technician Cheung Kin-wa was earlier found guilty of three counts of incitement to commit criminal damage.

The Kwun Tong Court heard that he posted messages on an online forum between August and November 2019, calling on others to damage TVB facilities, as well as those of the MTR Corporation and the fast food chain Maxim's.
