CLP on Friday said it has laid and activated a high-voltage replacement cable after its cable bridge in Yuen Long caught fire and led to a massive blackout in New Territories West earlier in the week.
The company said the 132 kilovolts cable became operational at 3am on Friday – a few hours after Yuen Long residents reported further power outages on Thursday evening.
CLP said the new cable will reinforce its power supply capability and enhance the reliability of the power system in the region.
It added it's also laying two other cables and aims to complete the works by Tuesday.
