A local company said on Monday it will trial a four-and-a-half-day work week this summer.

New World Group is giving workers at several of its units half a Friday off from July until September without cutting their pay.

On top of that, these employees can also work remotely for one day each week.

The company said in a statement that these are part of its family-friendly measures, and it hopes they will improve their workers' well-being.

New World also said they hope the measures will boost employee motivation and efficiency.
