Development Secretary Bernadette Linn on Sunday said she will lead her team in boosting land supply, adding that housing is top of the agenda for the new administration.

In her first blog post after taking office, Linn said she will roll out a raft of measures to enhance the “speed, quantity, quality and efficiency” of land development.

One of the measures, she said, is to streamline administrative procedures for development to speed up land supply.

Linn also vowed to push forward urban renewal projects and identify more suitable land for development, as well as to use innovative methods to build houses.

She said she will work closely with Financial Secretary Paul Chan and his deputy Michael Wong, who will be leading a steering committee and a task force on housing respectively, to discuss and tackle major housing issues.

Linn added that the government will continue with the Northern Metropolis and Lantau Tomorrow projects to meet the city's long-term development needs.
