National security police said on Monday that they had arrested two men for allegedly publishing seditious messages on social platforms.
The men, aged 34 and 36, were separately arrested in Wan Chai and Central.
Police said the suspects were suspected of "publishing posts on social platforms to disseminate seditious messages that promote feelings of ill-will and enmity between different classes of the population of Hong Kong and incite the use of violence".
Police said officers seized some communication devices and indecent photos after raiding the suspects' homes.
They added that the 36-year-old suspect also allegedly took and published indecent photos of an individual.
The men were detained for questioning.
