Police have reclassified a wounding case as murder following the death of a 22-year-old man in hospital on Monday. The victim, and two other men, had allegedly been assaulted by several people outside a restaurant on Tsing Ling Path in Tuen Mun in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Later on Saturday, police arrested a 17-year-old male and 21-year-old man on suspicion of wounding.
Police have now laid a holding charge against the 17-year-old with one count of murder and two counts of wounding. The case will be mentioned at Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts later on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old man has been released on bail and must report back to Police early next month.
