Shares were barely moved at the open of trade in Hong Kong on Tuesday following a tepid lead from Wall Street on renewed fears of more sharp Federal Reserve interest rate hikes to tame inflation.
The Hang Seng Index inched down to 20,039.
The Shanghai Composite Index was also flat, dipping 1.20 points to 3,235, while the Shenzhen Composite Index eased 0.15 percent, or 3.26 points, to 2,179. (AFP)
