Education authorities said students and staff members with an amber code are restricted from mask-off activities and are banned from having lunch with others on campus.
Under the government's new rule that came into effect on Friday, inbound travellers who've completed three nights of hotel quarantine will remain on health surveillance for four more days, and be given an amber code on their LeaveHomeSafe app in the meantime.
These people can go out during the period, but not to places that check vaccine passes.
In its latest guideline issued to schools, the Education Bureau (EDB) said pupils or staffers with the amber code can be on campus, as long as they undergo rapid antigen tests daily.
However, they cannot take part in mask-off activities, such as playing musical instruments or sports.
If they need to have lunch on campus, the bureau said the school should put in place partitions so that these students and staffers can be separated from others.
As for visitors with an amber code, including parents, they will be barred from entering schools.
