Compulsory testing ordered for 65 locations

The government on Monday issued compulsory testing notices for 65 places across Hong Kong.

Anyone who has visited any of these premises and stayed there for the length of time and on the dates specified must get a nucleic acid test for Covid-19.

The residential buildings are located in Tai Po, Tai Wai, Tuen Mun, Yau Tong, Tin Shui Wai, Yuen Long, Tsing Yi, Kwun Tong, Sha Tin, Ngau Tau Kok, Tung Chung, Sheung Shui, Ap Lei Chau, Chai Wan, Lam Tin, Ma Wan, Fanling, Kwai Chung, Ma On Shan, Kowloon Bay, Tseung Kwan O, Tsz Wan Shan, Shau Kei Wan, Kowloon City, Chai Wan, Wong Tai Sin, Shek Kip Mei, Cheung Sha Wan, and Quarry Bay.

Eight locations – in Tseung Kwan O, Sheung Shui, Tin Shui Wai, and Sha Tin – were also issued with compulsory testing notices after sewage samples tested positive for Covid-19.

The Centre for Health Protection reported 4,896 new Covid infections, including 197 imported cases.
