Shenzhen on Monday suspended services at 24 subway stations after reporting new Covid-19 cases.

According to CCTV, the stations are located in Luohu and Futian districts. It's not immediate known when services will resume.

The world's largest electronics market of Huaqiangbei has been temporarily closed as well.

Authorities also announced that in Luohu, dine-in services at restaurants will be suspended and entertainment venues such as bars and cinemas will be closed until Thursday as part of infection-control measures.

Shenzhen reported nine symptomatic and two asymptomatic Covid-19 cases the previous day. (Additional reporting by Reuters)
