Police said on Wednesday that they are investigating an armed robbery of a watch shop in Causeway Bay at lunch time in which watches worth HK$10 million were stolen.

The robbers made off with 80 to 100 watches, according to the force.

Investigators said four men wielding a gun, a knife and a hammer entered the shop at 441 Lockhart Road at around 1pm.

They said the robbers forced shop staff to hand over the keys to the display cabinets, adding that the robbery lasted for around three minutes.

The men then fled in a car parked on Jaffe Road.

No one was injured.
