The Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data has arrested a man on suspicion of disclosing a former co-worker’s personal information on a social media platform.
The privacy watchdog on Friday said the suspect and the alleged victim had been co-workers of a company, whose relationship later turned sour.
The suspect, 31, was later dismissed by the firm.
He allegedly posted the complainant’s personal information, including phone number and the estate where he lived, on a social media platform without his consent in October 2021.
The suspect has been granted bail pending further investigation.
