Customs officers on Friday said they had seized suspected illicit cigarettes worth around HK$100 million, arresting a man in the operation.
The department said it had intercepted a truck and raided containers in Lau Fau Shan near Tin Shui Wai on Monday.
Around 39 million cigarettes were seized.
A 60-year-old man was arrested.
Officers said they believe the cigarettes had been smuggled in by sea.
