The Hong Kong football team are victorious in their long-awaited international match on home soil.

The SAR's men defeated Myanmar 2-0 behind closed doors at Mong Kok Stadium on Wednesday night thanks to a pair of quickfire first-half goals.

Eastern forward Sun Ming-him opened scoring on 35th minute before the Kitchee defender Law Tsz-chun added one more a minute later to keep Hong Kong in control of the match.

The two sides will play again at Hong Kong Stadium on Saturday. That game will be opened to fans.

Hong Kong is hosting international football for the first time since the World Cup qualifiers in November 2019.
