Hong Kong stocks opened on lower again on Tuesday as investors struggled to find anything to look forward to, with central banks ramping up interest rates to stamp out inflation.

The Hang Seng Index edged down 0.1 percent to 17,838.

The Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.2 percent to 3,056, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange added 0.3 percent to 1,955. (AFP)
