Hong Kong stocks opened with a loss Monday morning following fresh selling on Wall Street as the rally at the end of last week ran out of steam, with focus turning to the upcoming earnings season.
The Hang Seng Index dropped 0.65 percent, or 107.95 points, to 16,479.74.
The Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.37 percent, or 11.47 points to 3,060.52, while the Shenzhen Composite Index slipped 0.50 percent, or 9.97 points, to 1,974.37. (AFP)
