Hong Kong stocks ended with much-needed gains on Wednesday following another strong performance on Wall Street thanks to hopes for the corporate earnings season.

The Hang Seng Index climbed 1.00 percent to 15,318.

The Shanghai Composite Index added 0.78 percent to 2,999.50, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange rose 1.79 percent to 1,958. (AFP)
