The Caritas Medical Centre on Friday said it’s made a report to the police over allegations of patients being treated inappropriately by two of its staff.
In a statement, it said it had earlier received a complaint alleging that two patients had been maltreated while under the hospital’s care.
Without providing further details, the hospital described the allegations as “serious”, adding that it had conducted a preliminary review and reported the matter to the Hospital Authority Head Office as well as the police.
It said the two staff members involved have since been suspended from clinical duties.
The hospital also noted that the patients involved have already been discharged.
It said it will contact them and their families after probing the case.
