Hong Kong shares end with another loss

Hong Kong stocks fell for a fifth straight trading day on Tuesday.

The Hang Seng Index sank 1.3 percent, or 231 points, to 17,424.

The Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.1 percent, or 3 points, to 3,088, while the Shenzhen Composite Index shed 1.3 percent, or 26 points, to 2,002. (Additional reporting by AFP)
