HK shares open sharply higher

Hong Kong shares jumped more than one percent at the open, led by a rally in developers and tech giants.

The Hang Seng Index climbed 1.5 percent to 17,558.

The Shanghai Composite Index added 0.6 percent to 3,096, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange rose 0.4 percent to 1,982. (AFP)
