A student shot by a policeman during the social unrest in 2019 was on Wednesday sentenced to six years in prison.
Chow Pak-kwan, who lost a kidney and part of his liver after being shot in Sai Wan Ho on November 11, 2019, was earlier found guilty of attempting to steal the policeman's gun, obstructing an officer, and trying to escape from custody.
At the District Court, co-defendant Woo Tsz-kin was also given six years behind bars for obstructing the police and trying to take the officer's gun.
In sentencing, judge Adriana Noelle Tse Ching said the pair showed no remorse and they only had themselves to blame for the injuries they suffered.
