HK shares open lower as investors eye US Fed

Hong Kong stocks opened with another loss on Wednesday amid renewed worries about Federal Reserve monetary tightening and a possible recession.

The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.3 percent to 19,380.

The Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.2 percent to 3,204, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange edged down 0.3 percent to 2,062. (AFP)
