The Tourism Board says it will consider adjusting the routes for the Hong Kong Cyclothon to be held on Sunday in anticipation of strong wind and cold weather.

The board said its staff would discuss with the Cycling Association of Hong Kong, China, and finalise the routes 15 minutes before the 30-kilometre and 50-kilometre races are due to start, depending on the wind speeds on the Stonecutter’s Bridge, the Ting Kau Bridge and the Tsing Ma Bridge.

It said any changes to the routes would be announced at the venue, adding that signage will be displayed along the routes to help participants.

Roads in the New Territories South, Kowloon West and Tsim Sha Tsui will be temporarily closed in phases between 1am and 3.30pm on Sunday for the races.
