Hong Kong stocks rose at the open on Monday, building on a strong start to the year, on receding recession worries, while traders await the release of Chinese economic growth data this week.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.4 percent to 21,818.
The Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.1 percent to 3,198, while the Shenzhen Composite Index also gained 0.1 percent to 2,069. (AFP)
