The Education Bureau announced on Tuesday that the daily rapid antigen test (RAT) requirement for students and teaching staff will stay at least until February 28.
In a letter to schools, the bureau said it made the decision after considering the infection risks that may be brought about by social activities during the Chinese New Year holidays.
It added that it will review the daily RAT rule and make adjustments accordingly.
Full-day face-to-face classes will resume in all schools in phases after the Lunar New Year holiday, from the start of February.
