Police said on Tuesday that they are investigating a fatal traffic accident in which a man reportedly lost consciousness while driving along Tsing Kwai Highway.
In a statement, officers said the 69-year-old was travelling along the highway towards Kowloon at around 8:14am, when he's believed to have collapsed and lost control of his vehicle and rammed into noise barriers near Lai King Estate.
The force said he sustained no external injuries and was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital where he died shortly after 9am.
Police called on people who’ve witnessed the accident or have information to offer to contact investigating officers on 3661-1344 or 3661-1346.
