One of the suspects charged over the murder of fashion influencer Abby Choi appeared in court again on Tuesday for allegedly jumping bail over a separate case years ago.

Alex Kwong, 28, had been accused of stealing necklaces, bracelets, pendants, bullion, and gold pellets from seven people between May 2013 and January 2015.

He had pleaded not guilty to seven counts of theft, but never turned up for his trial.

An arrest warrant was issued for Kwong and his bail money and surety were confiscated in November 2015.

A District Court judge adjourned the case to May 9 for the prosecution to examine evidence and consider adding new charges.

Kwong was taken back into custody.
