A taxi driver has appeared in Eastern Court over a crash in Fortress Hill on Sunday which left two pedestrians seriously injured.
Ngai Choi-nung, 85, is charged with dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm.
No plea was taken and the case was adjourned until May 16.
The defendant was released on bail and ordered to surrender his passport and driving licence.
Three people were struck by the taxi as it was travelling down Fortress Hill Road towards King's Road at around 1pm on Sunday.
Two of those hit, both women, remained in a critical condition in hospital on Tuesday morning. The other pedestrian suffered injuries to her arm.
